What customers say?

“ We loved the pizza, nachos and especially the prime rib melt! We loved the iced tea as well! The wings was just ok but not to our liking. A bit tough (not juicy) and not too flavorful. Service was good! Place was nice and spacious ”

“ Hadn’t been to the boiler room since it opened. We were craving pizza after a full day of golf so we figured why not try it out ? I will say I had some hesitations going into it. The sault is known for its Italian food & quality. This includes pizza. It’s hard to want to go to a non Italian joint for Italian food. This is a note of caution. the night we went they seemed to be short staffed with only one server and a pretty busy restaurant. It took a bit for us to be seated (no wait in front of us). The menu has some decent options but it’s not massive by any means. We started with the deep fried cheese curds. These were and still are the winner. Something about the breading seasoning and their marinara just took it home for us. Perfect crunch, perfect coating. Highly recommend. My partner got the calzone, I got a margarita pizza. My partner didn’t mind his meal but he didn’t LOVE it. The portion was massive (not a bad thing) but the amount of cheese inside was sickening. He needed to pull cheese out with the fork because it was hard to get through. It also seemed a lot larger than a twelve inch pizza made into a calzone. My pizza? It was decent. The flavours were consistent with margherita pizzas I’ve had in the past. What I didn’t like was how thin the crust was. I like a bit more meat on the bone, if you will. The burnt pieces and the wood fires was tasty though I will say. The environment. Is cool. Unique. In the old boiler room of the pulp mill (hence the name). It’s a pretty small place though so I can see it being busy and hectic. The server was super kind, despite not being able to be as present due to the workload. Honestly? Not the place for to-die-for pizza in the Sault. Not the worst, but this wouldn’t be where I see myself heading in the future for pizza. ”

“ It’s a great restaurant for large groups! I love that it’s in such a historic building and the overall atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. I especially appreciated the waiter and it improve our dining experience! One thing that I would warn you is to go with an empty stomach because they don’t mess around with portions. The 18” pizzas really are 18” and we had trouble finishing one large (18”) and one regular (12”) between three adults. We also got the fried cheese curds with delicious marinara sauce but I don’t think it made too much of a difference. I’m not complaining but just setting expectations. It was overall a great experience and would come back again for other pizzas! ”

“ The food was so good. Had nachos and pizza both came out of fire pizza oven. Amazing. Plus they had 4 projectors and a couple TVs. The staff were friendly and had us laughing. If I lived in the sault I would definitely go here often. ”

“ Nice and clean. Wasn't busy when we arrived. Got to choose where we wanted to sit. Not a big restaurant so can't imagine going on a busy day. Only ordered the pizza and it was great. We only saw two pizza sizes. The small is the size of a plate. The large is 8 what we call in the US, New York size slices. More than plenty for two people maybe even 3. ”

“ My friend and I were in town for the weekend with a sports team and had heard great things about The Boiler Room. It was about a 45 min walk from where we were staying but it was beyond worth it. We were seated at the bar which was super neat getting to watch the pizzas being made right in front of us! Our server Sami was wonderful, she was super friendly and helped make our experience so amazing. We had pizzas which were phenomenal and had not only our server check in on us but also 2 of the chefs asked us how our meals were. Overall it was a 10/10 for us! ”

“ We had dinner here on a Saturday evening. Place has a cool vibe, inside the brick building that shares space with another restaurant and lounge area. There were good options for kids, adult and drink menus. We ordered the fish and chips -upgraded to Greek salad instead of fries, and prime rib dinner. Also ordered drinks, red wine and a Manhattan. The portions were huge. I had the fish and chips. Fish was delicious, but would have been nice if the batter was slightly more crispier. The Greek salad was great and was not expecting such a massive portion size. The prime rib as eaten by my companion, enjoyed it, but the prime rib lacked flavour which was slightly disappointing considering the price point. He enjoyed the Fries and Yorkshire pudding. Our server was great, she was polite, friendly, and was helpful if we had requests. I gave it 4 stars because of the prime rib lacking flavour esp at a higher price and fish batter too. The place wasn't super busy, yet had a few couples and a large group. ”

“ Great service, super nice feel. Lighting was awesome. Gave my daughter a free hot chocolate, food came fast but was still good. Great place! Pizza was solid, but not spectacular. Fantastic location! ”
